Did you say dinner at the Crooked Tree Cafe?

There has been much discussion since we opened the doors about when we might begin to serve dinner. Well, wait no more, dinner is around the corner. That’s right, the Crooked Tree Cafe will begin serving dinner on Friday and Saturday nights beginning August 21 and August 22. The dinner menu is going to include some new great favorites that we have actually been trying out in smaller portions for lunch.

Perhaps you saw last week’s specials which included Pesto Roasted Salmon and Pan Seared Tenderloin Medallions?

Oh yes, those are only a few of our new items that will be offered at dinner. We are so excited to begin offering dinner on Friday and Saturday nights and can’t wait to see you. You have made us the breakfast, lunch and brunch destination in Marietta, and now let’s add dinner on the weekends!

Our hours for dinner will be from 5 PM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings. Our current breakfast and lunch hours will not change. Please let everyone know and we hope to see you on August 21 for dinner! Also, have a wonderful first week of school and after you drop the kids off, come join us for a nice, quiet breakfast at the Crooked Tree Cafe.

Mother’s Day 2015!

vector mother's day

Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate Mom. It is a day to shower her with hugs, homemade cards, thoughtful gifts and of course a fabulous brunch. In honor of this very special day, Chef Jeff is serving up an incredible Mother’s Day brunch this Sunday.
How about a scrumptious Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding for the mom who loves pastries. Or maybe seafood is more her style. Treat her to Gulf Crab stuffed biscuits. The freshly baked biscuits are covered with Crooked Tree seasoned creamy crab meat. Yes, we are hungry just typing it up too! Another seafood special for Mom’s day is Shrimp and Grits. This tasty meal consists of pan seared shrimp and julienne vegetables served over creamy grits with a garlic and herb pan sauce. Yes please, we’ll take two. And Mother’s Day brunch is definitely not complete without a sweet dish, how about Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast? Chef Jeff will prepare this incredible dish with Challah French toast, strawberry cheesecake and fresh strawberry compote. So now that we have your mouth watering, we hope you know where to take Mom this Sunday for brunch … the Crooked Tree Cafe, that’s where!
And Happy Mother’s Day to all our Moms!

Crooked Tree Cafe to take part in the Taste of Marietta

It is by far one of the biggest events to hit the Marietta Square each year, and this weekend, the Crooked Tree Cafe will be one of several vendors taking place in the food spectacular … The Taste of Marietta. The Taste will be held this Sunday, April 26, from 11 AM to 7 PM on the Marietta Square.

In case you are new to the area, the Taste of Marietta is an annual food festival always held the last Sunday in April that showcases Cobb County restaurants and caterers. It is the largest and longest running food festival in Cobb County and has become a favorite annual tradition among local residents. Admission to the festival is FREE. The only costs are the cost of food – ‘tastes’ ranging from $1 to $5 – and drinks and some activities in the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Kids Alley.

We are pleased to announce the Crooked Tree Cafe menu for the day:

  • Smoked Pork and Smoked Chicken Sliders  $3
  • Brisket Grilled Cheese Sliders  $4
  • Porchetta and Chow Chow Sliders $4  (Chef Jeff’s porchetta is a classical italian cured meat sliced for sandwiches. He matches the flavors to pulled pork, garlic, lemon, rosemary, and oregano. It is served with homemade chow chow)
  •  Poblano Cider Slaw  $2
  •  Sweet tea and lemonade for $2

Sounds great doesn’t it? We are excited about this weekend and can’t wait to see you all at the festival. Also. make sure you stay for the Sunset concert from 5 PM to 7 PM. The entertainment will be provided by none other than Banks and Shane! Can’t wait to see you there!

Easter Brunch at the Crooked Tree Cafe

Of course your favorites will still be available including an Egg and Olive Salad Sandwich (a house made egg and olive salad, fresh spring mix on a toasted sour dough), the Spring Mountain Chicken (sweet tea brined and hickory smoked, served with our ivory BBQ sauce, pan seared potatoes, and poblano-cider slaw), and the Crooked Tree BBQ plate (12 hour smoked pork, seasoned to perfection, with your choice of 2 sides and cornbread).
We hope you and your family have a great Easter weekend, and we truly hope to see you for brunch this Sunday. Happy Easter from all of us at the Crooked Tree Cafe!

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here's an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 23,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 9 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
