Welcome to the Crooked Tree Cafe
Upon entering Crooked Tree Café the delicious aroma of great food greets you. Using his fine dining experience gleamed from working with both local chefs and others from around the country, chef/owner Jeff Haeger opened his own restaurant, Crooked Tree Cafe, in 2012. We were excited when the opportunity arose to bring the Crooked Tree to Marietta. The chefs home town since middle school, Marietta is now the home of the Crooked Tree CafeOver the past several months Jeff has refined his menu to now feature the finest in-house, smoked and spicy meats, along with some exciting twists to southern favorites.
To accompany the smoked meats, sides are prepared in-house for freshness. Sides include poblano cider slaw, bacon potato salad, macaroni and cheese, pinto beans and smoked chicken noodle soup. Chef specials are coming soon and will include such favorites as smoked meatloaf, fried chicken, and smoked spare ribs.
Chef Jeff graduated from Lassiter High School and attended the University of Georgia. He then attended Johnson and Wales Culinary School in Charleston, South Carolina. He worked in several restaurants in Charleston before moving to Dallas, Texas where he worked with Stephen Pyles where he developed his love of smoked and spicy foods. After returning to the south, Jeff worked at the Memphis Q at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. In Vinings, Georgia Jeff also worked with Chefs Gary Mennie at Canoe and Joey Ahn, at Soho. In 2012, Jeff and his father decided to show case Jeff’s talents in his own restaurant. Using his love of the beautiful Angel Oaks on Cumberland Island, Jeff chose the name Crooked Tree Café for his restaurant.
The restaurant is located at 915 Cobb Parkway North in Marietta and is open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday and available for catering.
